Pay with Apple Pay

Pay effortlessly in stores, apps, and on the web with Apple Pay.

There’s no need to wake your iPhone or open an app. Just follow the simple steps ahead:


  • Hold your iPhone near the reader with your finger on Touch ID or use Face ID.
  • You will see “Done” on the display, feel a subtle vibration, and hear a beep.

With Apple Watch:


  • Double-click the side button and hold the display of your Apple Watch near the reader.
  • You’ll feel a gentle tap and hear a beep confirming that your payment was successful.

On Apps or Web Portals


To pay online on apps and on the web with iPhone or iPad:


  • Select Apple Pay at checkout.
  • Confirm your payment using Touch ID, Face ID, or your passcode.
  • You’ll see “Done” on the display and feel a subtle vibration when the payment is complete.

To pay on a Mac in Safari, choose Apple Pay, then complete the purchase using your iPhone, Apple Watch, or Mac with Touch ID.

Where Apple Pay is Accepted

You can use Apple Pay anywhere you see the contactless payment or Apple Pay symbols — at supermarkets, hotels, restaurants, and retail outlets across the UAE.

Apple Pay is also accepted on many popular apps and websites, allowing you to check out quickly, securely, and without entering your card details.

Apple Pay is a mobile payment and digital wallet service by Apple Inc. that lets users make payments using an iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad or Mac.

Apple Pay is disabled on iPads for education or if a child on a family iCloud account is under 13 years old.

All Visa Credit Cards, Debit Cards and Prepaid Cards issued by Emirates Islamic Bank are eligible to be used on Apple Pay.

Eight unique cards can be added to each device. The same card can be added to 99 devices. Passes (e.g. concert tickets) are separate from cards and do not count towards the eight card limit.

For security purposes, a one-time passcode is required to be entered in order to confirm your identity. This code is a unique series of numbers and/or letters which will be sent via email or text. If prompted, you must select how you wish to receive the one-time passcode and then enter it into the appropriate field.

Go to Settings > click on Wallet & Apple Pay > tap Default Card > select Card.

Apple Pay can be used wherever you see the contactless payment symbol. You can also make in-app purchases where you see the Apple Pay sign on your compatible iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad or through your MacBook.

If you lose your physical card and then receive a replacement card, you will need to remove the original card record from Apple Pay and register your new card again.

Card art will not always match and is dependent on the network. The last four digits on the card art in Wallet will always match the last four digits of the plastic card.

If an iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch is lost or stolen, you can go to icloud.com/find or use the Find My iPhone app to suspend or permanently remove a Card from the device. This will happen even if a device is offline and not connected to a mobile or Wi-Fi network. Alternatively, you can call us on 600599995 to suspend or delete a card from Apple Pay.

If you have lost your physical card and then receive a replacement card, you will need to remove the original card record from Apple Pay and register your new card again.

If you wish to return a purchase made with Apple Pay, you will have to bring along your physical Emirates Islamic Card along with the Apple device and request the merchant to issue the refund back on your Card. You can hold the device near the payment terminal and authorize with touch ID or passcode. For verification purposes, you may be asked to provide the last four digits of his Device Account Number to the merchant. This number can be found in the "Settings" menu in the Apple Pay app.

If you had previously registered your credit card on Apple Pay, and the card is due for renewal, the replacement credit card will automatically be registered back to Apple Pay when you activate your renewal credit card. For a debit card, you will have to re-enter the card details to enrol it for Apple Pay.

When performing a factory data reset/ format or update, all payment information in Apple Pay will be deleted. You will need to set up and add the card information into Apple Pay again after the device has been reset.

For security purposes, we may ask you to enter a one-time passcode to confirm your identity. This code is a unique series of numbers and/or letters and will be sent via email or text. If prompted, please select how you wish to receive the one-time passcode and then enter it into the appropriate field. You must ensure to remove your card(s) from any device before selling, exchanging, or disposing them. You should also remove your card if you are temporarily sharing your device with someone else; for example, if your phone is to be repaired.
