In line with the UAE Government’s decision to adopt a new working week that will better align the UAE with global markets as well as bring the country’s financial sector into closer conjunction with international market practices, we are pleased to announce the following changes to our branch timings and operating schedules, effective Monday 3rd of January 2022.
New branch timings
Our branch network will be open six days a week, from Monday to Saturday, with Sunday being the day of closure, with a few exceptions. All branches will be closed for service from 12:30 to 14:00 on Fridays to observe the prayer break.
Changes to cheque clearing, payments and transfers schedule
Cheque clearing services, local fund transfers (using UAEFTS), Wages Protection System services as well as Direct Debits processing will now be available from Monday to Saturday, with Sunday being declared as a day-off, in line with the UAE Central Bank directives.
As always, our digital banking services including Mobile Banking, Online Banking, smartBUSINESS & businessONLINE, as well as our ATMs and deposit machines will help you carry out your banking requirements anytime and from anywhere with convenience and flexibility. Our Contact Centre will be available 24x7, however will operate with limited services from 12:30 to 14:00 on Fridays.
Our new working timing will come into effect as of Monday, 3rd of January 2022.
Any request received before 2:00pm, Monday to Saturday, will be processed on the same working day, subject to availability of funds in your account and accuracy of details. Otherwise, it will be processed the next working day at rates applicable during the time of processing.
Any request received before 6:00pm (for AED) and 2:00pm (for other currencies), Monday to Saturday, will be processed on the same working day, subject to availability of funds and accuracy of details. Otherwise, it will be processed the next working day.
For transferring to other Emirates Islamic or Emirates NBD accounts, please select the option 'Emirates NBD' or 'Emirates Islamic' in the Transfers menu option.
Any request received before 3:30pm, Monday to Saturday, will be processed on the same working day, subject to availability of funds in your account and accuracy of details.
No, there is no impact.
Any cheque deposited through an Emirates Islamic branch via Teller or Branch Cash Deposit Machine (CDM) before 10:00am, Monday to Saturday, will be processed on the same working day, subject to availability of funds in your account and accuracy of details.
Any cheque deposited through non Emirates Islamic or Emirates NBD machines will be processed within 5 working days.
