Emirates Islamic, one of the leading Islamic financial institutions in the UAE, will mark UAE National Day with a unique community event at Global Village.

All visitors can participate by getting their photograph taken which will immediately light up colour pixels on the flag. As more people participate, all the colours of the flag will be illuminated on the installation, with the UAE national flag revealed in all its glory, as a beacon of the UAE's diversity and solidarity.

Participants can also express their love for the UAE by signing and writing on a giant white wall with the UAE flag colours or have photos taken with a falcon, the UAE national bird.

In addition, the bank also held a celebration event for all staff at its headquarters with traditional Emirati breakfast and henna painting.

Commenting on the planned celebrations, Jamal Bin Ghalaita, Chief Executive Officer, Emirates Islamic said, "UAE National Day is a day of immense pride and happiness and a wonderful opportunity for the entire community to come together and celebrate the significant achievements of our great country. We are excited to hold multiple events for the UAE community and for our staff to participate in the national day celebrations in a manner that honours the unity and spirit of community we share in the UAE," added Bin Ghalaita.
