Emirates Islamic staff visit Family Gathering Centre

Emirates Islamic, one of the leading Islamic financial institutions in the UAE, recently organised a visit for its employees to the Family Gathering Centre at Al Mamzar, Dubai as part of the bank’s commitment towards the community. The Emirates Islamic team spent the day interacting with the elderly patients and support team at the Centre. The team also distributed gifts to the various residents.
Family Gathering Centre, part of Dubai Health Authority is the only government center in Dubai which offers preventive services, therapeutic, rehabilitative, psychological and social support for the elderly citizens of the UAE. The center opened in 1993 and accommodates 40 residents and many more daycare patients. Family Gathering Centre has a team of doctors and nurses specializing in geriatrics and have extensive experience in the diagnosis of diseases of aging and dealing with complications. The Centre’s rehabilitation department plays an important role in helping older people to regain independence through physical therapy, which aims to ease the pain and help the patient to move better or occupational therapy, which aims to help the patient autonomy in the management functions of daily life.
