Second season of ‘Emirates Islamic National School League – Football’ kicks off

Emirates Islamic has announced that the second season of its ‘Emirates Islamic National School League – Football’ championship has commenced this October.
Reflecting the success of the first season, this year has seen participation grow to more than 100 teams from over 65 schools. Adding to the excitement, participants can look forward to competing in a new under 12’s category, in addition to the under 16’s and 14’s.

Football remains the nation’s most loved sport and we look forward to the rising stars of tomorrow displaying their talent and passion on the field during the upcoming season of the Emirates Islamic National School League Football. The 2015/16 season brought in nail-biting football action with more than 350 games played over 6 months. Lycee Francais International Georges Pompidou won the double for the under 16's and under 14's and a number of star players were scouted and registered by prominent football academies in the UAE. Star players in the second season will be sent to French side Stade Rennais F.C for tryouts and to watch a Ligue 1 match.
