How is the Credit Shield Plus Takaful hospital cash benefit useful to me if I already have medical insurance?

The hospital cash benefit is payable directly to you. You can claim your medical insurance as well.

How can I claim under the ILOE Credit Shield Takaful benefit from outside the UAE?

If you are not residing any more in the UAE and continue to remain unemployed after initial payout of 6 months, an additional lump sum benefit of remaining 10% of outstanding balance after 1st payout will be made to you on quarterly basis during 7th and 10th month for the remaining period.

Please write to Emirates Islamic before leaving the UAE to take the Claim forward accordingly.

Are there any exclusions under Credit Shield Takaful cover?

Yes, please refer to Personal Accident/Natural Death Policy Terms and Conditions for exclusions.

Are Pre-existing conditions covered in this policy?

No, pre-existing conditions are not covered in this policy. For details of eligibility and exclusions, please refer to the Credit Shield Takaful Terms and Conditions.

I was not aware about Takaful on my credit card. Is it possible to reverse the charges?

You are only enrolled for the Credit Shield Takaful if you have opted in for it. However, to submit a request for the reversal call us on +971 600 599 995. Please note the reversal of the charges will be upon cancellation of Credit Shield.
