Manage your Primary Credit Card Limit

Your credit card limit is assigned by the Bank based on several factors, including the type of credit card, your income, the company you work for, your financial history and debt burden ratio.

Understanding Your Credit Card Limits

Your Credit Card Limit is the maximum amount you can spend with your credit card. The minimum amount you have to repay by the payment due date is referred to as your Outstanding Balance or Utilized Limit and the rest is your Available Credit Limit.

If you have one or more supplementary credit cards, these cards utilise a certain percentage of the total limit of your primary credit card. For example, if your credit card has a total limit of AED 10,000 and you assign 10% of your limit to your supplementary credit card, the supplementary cardholder can only spend AED 1,000 with their card within one billing cycle (statement date to next statement date).
