What if the customer does not have both their debit/credit card and their Emirates ID card available during the CDM deposit to account/credit card transaction?
Customer will not be able to deposit without identifying himself either using their debit card (for cash deposit into account) / credit card (for cash deposit into card) OR their Emirates ID (for both deposit into account or credit card). Same will apply to bulk cash machines. Note that even to deposit in branch counters, customers are required to present their Emirates ID.
Is it mandatory to enter the Emirates ID in case of deposits to Utility, Loan payments or Cheque Deposits?
No. Emirates ID is required only while depositing cash into Emirates NBD or Emirates Islamic Accounts and Credit Card(s). All other cash or cheque deposit transactions will not require Emirates ID to be entered.
Are there limits defined for certain type of customers with heavy cash transactions?
Selected customers might be assigned higher limits as approved by Group Compliance, which will be applicable when such customers deposit cash via CDM.
If the customer exceeds his CDM daily deposit limit and needs to deposit additional cash, how can he proceed?
Customer can still deposit cash in branches or Cash Deposit Centers by providing the required source of funds information (as per the cash deposit slip rolled out on 6th May 2019, Circular No. GOGS/020/2019). Or customer can wait for the following day where the daily limit will be reset.
What if the customer has already reached their CDM monthly deposit limit, how can he deposit further?
For the rest of that month, customer will not be able to deposit further on CDMs. Customer can still deposit cash in branches or Cash Deposit Centers.
Will there be any cases when customers will not be allowed to deposit cash via CDMs?
Select customers might be restricted fully from depositing via CDMs as per Group Compliance directive. Such customers are required to contact branch for their deposit requirements.
In the case if EI Depositor calls claiming that the EIDA has been captured in EI Machine?
Call Center should advise the customer to visit the same Emirates Islamic Branch after 24 – 48 hours carrying secondary Identification proof (Original Passport, Driver’s license, etc)
In the case if EI Depositor calls claiming that the EIDA has been captured in ENBD Machine?
Call Center should advise the customer to visit the same Emirates NBD Branch after 24 – 48 hours carrying secondary Identification proof (Original Passport, Driver’s license, etc)
