Emirates Islamic supports Mobile Number Portability (MNP) service from Du

Emirates Islamic enables customers to continue their payment and inquiries without changing or updating the already registered mobile numbers in their customer profile.

Customers who are switching to another service provider and keeping the same number will have the ease to continue using the Bill Payments, Balance Inquiry and other mobile number dependent services and facilities across all Emirates Islamic channels (ATM, CDM, IVR, Online Banking and Mobile Apps).

Currently MNP is available for Du mobile numbers only (Etisalat numbers switched to Du).

The Emirates Islamic Mobile Banking App offers a Branch Queuing Ticketing service allows customers to:

  • Generate a Branch Queuing Ticket.
  • Save an image of the ticket as a photo on their mobile device
  • Issue one ticket at a single point of time. Another ticket can be generated once the current ticket at hand is announced at the branch.
  • View the total number of people waiting in the branch.

Here's a step-by-step process to issue a queuing ticket:

1. Login to the mobile app
2. Go to 'Services' and click on 'Get Queuing Ticket'
3. Select the desired Branch

4. Tap on the button 'Get Queuing Ticket'
5. Select the service for which you are
visiting the branch for
6. A ticket will now appear on the mobile screen and will be saved to the mobile phone
Note: A check box will be displayed at the bottom of the screen with the message “Next time, I want to issue a ticket without logging into the application” – if you click on this text box and tap continue, the service will start appearing on your pre-login screen of the Emirates Islamic Mobile App so you can use this service without logging on anymore. Tap on continue to issue the ticket
7. An SMS will be sent to the mobile number confirming the issuance of the ticket

What is Smart Pass?

Emirates Islamic Smart Pass is a transaction authorisation method in our mobile banking app which ensures more security and convenience for Online & Mobile Banking transactions. With this new level of security, you do not need to wait for SMS Authentication Codes anymore to authorise your transactions. Smart Pass enables you to authorise your transactions with Smart Pass PIN which you define in the Smart Pass activation process.

How can I start using Smart Pass?

To start using Smart Pass, you need to activate Smart Pass in your Emirates Islamic Bank Mobile Banking App. For activation, go to Smart Pass menu on your Emirates Islamic Mobile Banking App and follow the instructions on the screen.

Is there any fee for using Smart Pass?

Smart Pass is a free of charge service. Data fee due to utilisation and activation of Smart Pass will be charged by your operator.

Can I use Smart Pass and SMS authentication code together?

No, you cannot use Smart Pass and SMS Authentication Code together. When you activate Smart Pass, you will be authorising your transactions by entering your Smart Pass PIN. To use SMS Authentication Code, you need to deactivate your Smart Pass on your device.

How to resent Smart Pass Pin?

If you forgot / blocked your Smart Pass PIN, you need to re-activate your Smart Pass through Smart Pass menu on your Emirates Islamic Mobile Banking App. You can re-activate your Smart Pass PIN by selecting Forgot PIN / Re-activate.

How to deactivate Smart Pass?

You can deactivate your Smart Pass through the Emirates Islamic Mobile Banking App, Online Banking or Phone Banking.

To deactivate through Emirates Islamic Mobile Banking App:

  • Smart Pass Menu
  • Enter your Smart Pass PIN
  • Select Deactivation

To deactivate through Online Banking:
  • Log in to Online Banking
  • Select Smart Pass menu
  • Select Deactivation
  • Enter the Smart Pass token generated by entering your Smart Pass PIN on your mobile device, and then type it on the Online Banking screen.

How do I deactivate Smart Pass if my device is lost or stolen?

If your phone is stolen or lost you can deactivate your Smart Pass via phone banking. Simply call 600 599 995 and connect to an agent for deactivation.

If I change my device, how can I use Smart Pass on my new device?

If you change your device, you will need to configure Smart Pass on your new device and the one on your old device will be deactivated automatically.

Can I use Smart Pass on Multiple devices?

No. Smart Pass can be activated on only one mobile device or tablet.

How do I download the Emirates Islamic Mobile Banking App?

You can download the Emirates Islamic Bank App to a supported device directly from Apple iTunes App Store or Google Play, depending on the smartphone you are using.

Can I use online mobile banking while roaming?

You can enjoy the service as long as you have Wi-Fi connectivity or subscribed to roaming data service through your operator. Data roaming services are chargeable services which you may encounter additional charges to your phone bills.

How many queuing tickets can I avail via the Mobile Banking App?

You can avail only 1 queuing ticket at a time. Once your first ticket is announced, then you can issue another ticket.

Can I open an account through Mobile Banking, even if I do not hold an existing Emirates Islamic account?

No. To open a new account through mobile app, you have to hold an existing Emirates Islamic account.
