Only download apps and updates from official app stores, such as Google Play and Apple Store
Don’t install apps or updates from SMS, WhatsApp, email, pop-ups or links
Turn on biometric login, such as fingerprint or facial recognition, for added security
Only allow app permissions if you trust the app and understand why access is needed
Keep your device security features switched on, such as Google Play Protect on Android devices or App Store and built-in iOS security protections on Apple devices
Update your device and apps through official settings and app stores only
Never share your OTP, PIN, password or login details with anyone
If you’re asked to install an update outside official channels, don’t proceed
