If your travel plans have changed, you may start receiving messages offering assistance with refunds, rebooking or compensation. These may appear on social media comments or as direct messages and can sometimes resemble legitimate communication from airline representatives or support agents.

In some cases, you may receive these messages after you’ve searched for flight updates or posted about your situation online.

They may:

Offers to assist with refunds, cancellations or travel amendments
Requests to move conversations outside official airline platforms
Links shared to “confirm” or “finalise” your request

Stop, pause and think before you respond to such communications.

Manage bookings, refunds or changes through official airline websites or apps only
Be cautious of unsolicited support offered via messages or comments
