Yes, all Customers can open a Kunooz Millionaire Account regardless of their age (whether Major or Minors represented by guardian) and in case of a minor the application, General Terms & Conditions and special terms of the product / campaign are signed and accepted by the natural/legal guardian on behalf of the minor and shall be binding upon and applicable to the minor.

By opening a Kunooz Millionaire Account, the Customer acknowledges and agrees, the Bank will notify the winning Customers at or after the end of each Draw by sending them a notice to the latest recorded address or contact details maintained with the Bank and the Bank will declare the winner of a Draw and publish his/her name (as recorded with Emirates Islamic) and picture may be released to the media, Bank website and/or the public.

Yes, the privacy disclaimers and opt-out options are provided to Customers on public website, Mobile, Internet Banking and Call center platforms. In addition, to Customer's Right to Withdraw Consent at any time. To do so, customers can use the contact details available in the “How to Contact Us” section or via contacting the Bank through various channels.

  • In Conventional Banking, Savings Accounts and Fixed Deposits (FDs) are types of accounts that pay a predetermined interest rate over a predetermined period of time. Depositors in conventional banks receive Interest on their investments at predetermined rates, regardless of the bank’s performance.
  • In Islamic Banking, depositors earn returns based on the bank’s actual performance. Unlike Conventional Banks, an Islamic Bank acts as an intermediary between the depositor and the party being financed. As such, Islamic banks declare their profits on a monthly-basis under a profit/risk-sharing scheme known as the “Mudaraba or Wakala Scheme”.

  • Interest is a fixed return on a specific sum of money invested over a predetermined period of time (not permissible as per Shariah.).
  • Profit is an undetermined return on a specific sum of money invested over a predetermined period of time. It may vary from month to month, directly depending on the bank’s actual performance (permissible as per Shariah.).

Yes, an Emirates Islamic account can be opened for a minor who is below 21 years of age, without a Cheque book facility. The account will be opened and operated by the Guardian on behalf of the minor.
